The 2011 Mitsubishi Eclipse is a 2-door car and appears in four traveler family coupe or sports coupe and offered in three trims, choices from the GS to the GT. The Eclipse GS is outfitted with a standard 2.4-liter, I4, 162-horsepower engine that pull off 20 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway.
The Eclipse GS is offered with a 5-speed manual transmission with overdrive which is standard and with a 4-speed automatic transmission with overdrive which is optional. The Eclipse GT is outfitted with a standard 3.8-liter, V6, 265-horsepower engine that pulls off 17 mpg in the city and 25 mpg on the highway. The Eclipse GT is offered with a 5-speed automatic transmission with overdrive which is standard.
The Eclipse GS comes standard with keyless entry, cruise control, a tilt-only steering wheel, air-conditioning, full power accessories, a 50/50-split rear seatback, six-speaker sound system with CD player and 18-inch alloy wheels.
The Eclipse GS Sport trims puts in fog lights, xenon headlights, a sunroof, heated leather front seats, heated
power mirrors, a six-way power driver seat, Bluetooth and a nine-speaker Rockford Fosgate sound system with six-CD changer, auxiliary audio jack, satellite radio, and steering wheel controls.
The Eclipse GT puts in a standard V6 engine, a bigger rear stabilizer bar, bigger rear brakes, large rear spoiler (this feature is only for coupe) and automatic climate control.
The Eclipse interior is pleasant and cool. The standard interior features are delayed courtesy lights, illuminated entry includes ignition key surround, front map lights interior load area light, alloy on foot pedals and scuff plates and carpet in passenger cabin and cargo area.
The 2011 Eclipse appears standard with stability control, four-wheel antilock brakes and front seat side airbags. While the coupe features front side curtain airbags and the Spyder puts in taller side airbags that cover up to passenger’s heads.
