Chevrolet Orlando Review
The Orlando is Chevrolet’s first ever MPV and a reasonably priced, roomy and sensible people transporter. The Orlando will be powered by a selection of three engines: a 1.8-litre petrol delivering 139bhp, and two in different way tuned versions of
the company’s 2.0-litre diesel, which turn out 129 bhp and 161 bhp respectively. The petrol will obtain 60 mph in 11.2 seconds with a top speed of 114 mph; however the paltry maximum torque of 176 Nm makes it feel like its struggling most of the time.
The 129 bhp diesel delivers 315 Nm of torque as low as 2,000rpm and it’ll take from 0 to 60 mph in 9.9 seconds and then on to a top speed of 121mph. The 161 bhp diesel with 360 Nm at 2,000 rpm is the engine of selection and that will obtain 60 mph in 9.7 seconds and then to a top speed of 121 mph. On the road it verified to be a comfortable, cool engine. With the auto the 2.0-litre unit’s a modest compromised i.e. from 0 to 60 mph takes 10.6 seconds and top speed is 111mph.
The interior seating is as theatre-style since in spite of the far-reaching roof-line, designers have do well in raising the second and third rows which let the passengers to acquire an even better sight both forwards and to the side and with no compromising head-room. Read the rest of this entry »
